What is Read-A-Thon?
Read-a-thon raises money for our school while helping our students improve their reading skills. Students are given individual reading goals by their teachers. They ask friends and family to sponsor them per book. They then turn in their pledge sheet and money raised.
How were last year’s funds used?
Read-a-thon funds were used to purchase books for the library and to provide some necessary upgrades to staff and student computers. We were also able to purchase smart televisions for elementary classrooms.
What are we raising money for this year?
A portion of the funds raised will go toward the library. Funds will also go toward adding technology in elementary and junior high, as well as the addition of classroom supplies.
